Music & Drama

Music and Drama play a very important part in our programme.

Each year in May we perform a show in the Ewen Hall. These have included The Phantom of the Opera, A Chorus Line, All The King's Men, The King and I, Annie Get Your Gun, Oklahoma, Peter Pan, The Magician's Nephew, Frozen, Alice in Wonderland and many more. Members of all ages are involved in our productions.

From time to time we take part in shows on bigger stages. We have performed in The Great Hall in Kensington, The Orchard Theatre and The Royal Albert Hall.

We have a Marching Band which can often be seen leading parades around the streets. During the summer we play at fetes and fairs, and in December we usually take part in the Barnet Christmas Fayre in the High Street.

There is the opportunity for members aged 11 and over to learn to play bell lyres and drums. No previous musical knowledge is required, members will be taught all they need to know.

The Company has a Treble Voice Choir open to Junior and Company Section members. As well as local performances, we have performed in a number of major venues including St. Paul's Cathedral, and the Mansion House, sung at a private function for HRH Prince Edward, performed for the Lord Mayor of London and on BBC 1 Television.
