
The 1st Barnet Company run a wide range of activities for Boys and Girls aged 5 to 18.
We are a Boys' Brigade Company which was founded in 1891. The Boys' Brigade now runs a Girls' Association and 1st Barnet have girls in all age groups.
The Boys' Brigade is a national youth organisation which lays down strict guidelines about child safety and the quality and training of its staff. All leaders are registered with the national headquarters and Officers attend compulsory training courses. Many specialised courses are also attended by our staff and certain activities can only be run by leaders with the appropriate qualifications.
In the 1st Barnet, most of our Officers have attended St. John Ambulance courses and are qualified in first aid.
A number of the staff also have the experience of working professionally in education. The Captain is a qualified school teacher with many years teaching experience in the Borough of Barnet.
Parents of children in our company can be confident that their children are in the care of capable adults while they are at Boys' Brigade.
